On Friday, October 13, 2017, local amateur musicians will take up their instruments to battle for the title of "Halifax's Best" at Rock for Dimes Halifax, a battle of the bands fundraiser. This is the 12th year for the fundraiser. Over $303,000 has been raised to date in Halifax at this annual event and our goal for 2017 is to raise over $30,000.

This year's costume-musical theme for the "two stages" event will be Canada Rocks to celebrate Canada's 150th; we encourage you to dress in RED & WHITE and join us. Watch your legal colleagues and corporate clients pay tribute to their favorite Canadian music artists or bands.

This years amateur musicians who will showcase their talents to music industry professionals will be:

  • Blue M'Ocean (BMO Financial),
  • Clusterfunk (Presse Mason),
  • The Showcase Showdowns (Cox & Palmer - 2016 Winner Best Band),
  • Terminal Road (NS Dept. of Justice),
  • Red C (McInnes Cooper - 2016 Top Fundraiser),
  • Verdant Places (Brian Awad & Friends) and
  • Project 501 (Stewart McKelvey).
