Subject research guides (offline)

Looking for the subject research guides?

As of December 2016, the research guides – which outlined subject-specific material at the Barristers’ Library in Halifax and free authoritative online sources of legal information – have been taken offline.

For risk and practice management materials, including guides, forms, checklists and other resources on opening a law office, see Opening a new practice on the Society’s website and Resources on the Lawyers’ Insurance Association of Nova Scotia website.

For cultural competence and employment equity resources, visit the Equity portal: Developing an equity strategy in your legal workplace.

For commentary, texts, precedents and full-text articles, find resources through the Barristers’ Library Discovery Catalogue.

For listings of organizations, services, resource guides and websites that can assist members of the public with legal information needs, see Legal resource information.
