The Nova Scotia Barristers' Society is committed to regulating the legal profession in an open and transparent way. The work of Council is public and can be found on this site. The Society's Professional Responsibility process requires that hearing of formal charges against members be conducted in public, subject to the applicable provisions of the Legal Profession Act. Further information on upcoming hearings and past decisions can be found on this site.

The Nova Scotia Barristers' Society is committed to addressing issues of equity and diversity in the legal profession in Nova Scotia. Read more about the Society's Equity Office.
