About > Governance > Work of Council

Council meets ten times per year to address the full range of policy issues affecting the Society. The work and agenda of council are premised on the Society's objects of governing the membership in the public interest. You can view the work of Council's last meeting and the Agenda of the upcoming Council meeting (Agendas are posted in the week prior to the meeting).

The Short Term Activity Plan focuses on significant new initiatives for the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society, while continuing to monitor and give direction for ongoing activities and the Long Term Strategic Plan focuses Council's work over a longer time period (3-5 years).
